This FREE training will cover key messages, security, common offences used at protest (UPDATED WITH NEW PSCS ACT 2022) and what to do if you are stop-and-searched or arrested.

LOCATION: Star & Shadow Cinema Co-op, Warwick St, Newcastle upon Tyne, NE2 1BB

 

ACCESS:

There will be two breaks on each day.

We will also endeavor give content notes for policing, state violence, racism, ableism, transphobia and transmisogyny, stop & search.

The venue is fully wheelchair accessible. All areas within venue are level access for wheelchairs (no stairs). There’s also x2 accessible toilets including changing places, accessible toilet facilities with overhead hoist, shower and adjustable wash basin.

We want to make these trainings accessible to everyone, so please do let us know if you have any additional accessibility needs. We will get in touch to discuss how we can best support you.

  • You don't have to give details under ANY stop and search power.

  • No Duty Solicitor
  • Use a recommended solicitor with protest experience.

  • No Caution
  • They admit guilt for an alleged offence that might never get to court.

  • What Power?
  • Ask "What power?" to challenge a police officer to act lawfully.
