Critical Mass 27th July 2012 ***NEW***

Were you or anyone you know on Critical Mass on 27th July, or even just at the meeting point under Waterloo Bridge? Solicitors are extremely keen to hear from people who were there and not arrested. Even if you don’t think you saw anything, please get in touch with us as soon as possible – by 10th December at the latest: gbclegal@riseup.net 07946 541 511

We are especially interested to hear from people who were at the meetup point at Waterloo Bridge, or at/in the kettle on either the Stratford Roundabout or the Bow Flyover.

10 November 2010 - Millbank.
3.00 – 3.30 in the building.

We are looking for a witness who may be able to assist this defendant – described by the police as "IC3 (African/Caribbean) male, about 6’ 4” tall, wearing a black body warmer with blue sleeves showing he was of skinny build.” He was with a female during the protest and at the time of the alleged incident. Unfortunately, he does not recall the name of the girl.

Was this you?

The Police’s description of the girl is “IC1 (white) female with short bobbed hair, wearing red framed large glasses and a beige Mac coat with a beige knitted jumper.” Whereas, the defendant has described her as 5’ 4” with dark brown/black curly hair. Go figure!

It is possible, based on the allegations of the Police that the female may have also been arrested. Unfortunately, to date the CPS have not confirmed whether or not this is the case. The defendant may have exchanged Blackberry messenger pins with the female.

9th December

We're looking for:

  • Witnesses to events near the Treasury from about 5.30pm to 8.30pm on 9 December;
  • Whether there was a police charge westwards in front of the Treasury building, starting from the intersection of Parliament Street and Parliament Square at about 6.30 to 6.45pm;
  • Anyone who has a charge similar to forced entry into the Treasury;
  • Any individuals who possess still or moving images or written or audio notes to events outside the Treasury;
  • General witnesses to events in Parliament Square throughout the afternoon.

26/03/2011 - March for the Alternative

Guy 1. 17:00 just after the people on the ledge outside Fortnum and Mason had come down. A police officer struck a man on the head with a baton on the road between where Sackville St and Princess Arcade meet Piccadilly (http://tinyurl.com/3tzpq9k). The man was wearing a grey hoodie, a black 'North Face' jacket and a GBC bust sticker. We're looking for anyone who witnessed this or can identify anyone in the video http://vimeo.com/22090688 who may have witnessed it. This video shows the man, holding his head, between 3.27 and 3.36.

Girl 1. 16:00 or around this time at Broad Sanctuary (road leading to Victoria Street), young white female, 5'10” wearing brown velvet trousers and short blue suede coat with fake fur collar and cuffs, long dark blonde hair tied back. We are told the officer was visibly pleased with with his actions.

Guy 2. 20:20 corner of St. Margret's Church grounds, young white male black boots, black jeans, dark blue top, short brown hair. Tried to escape kettle by running into the church gardens followed by officers. When trapped in corner he turned round and raised hands to give up as one officer, believed to be 133LP or 133PL, charged at him with a riot shield knocking out a tooth. He was then arrested for 'threats to cause criminal damage' as police are saying he was shouting to smash the church, which he denies.

Guy 3. **NEW** 15:30 in Broad Sanctuary a police officer fell off his white/grey horse around the time of the first horse charge into students. Did you witness this event, and these two students interacting with a German man earlier in the day? Get in touch with the contact on the poster.

Finally, we've heard from three arrestees that police wouldn't phone the solicitor they asked for and instead pushed for them to take the duty solicitor. If this also happened to you, please let us know.
